Why does the XV come without rear crampon pad? How is the riding? Definitely two important things which I cannot find anywhere described.

Pleasse help. I am a snow shoe freerider, and I want to go into splits. The Stones with unions are more affordable for me, than other brand packages. I'm not a spining freestyle rider. More of a Explorer Guy with skate like ollie habits. I need to find a good deal with a good ride. Will You Guys go for the Stones if You were Me?

I wish @DEELUXEboots had a better North American presence as their gear looks solid. I also wondered why hiking in Germany I would always see outsoles on the trail, now I know!

I wouldn't NOT recommend! Bought a pair of these bindings and a pair of the K2 Aspect boots, thinking they will work perfectly together, but after only 6 rides out, I notice the bindings metal edges are cutting into both sides (left and right) of the boots, leaving some deep grooves and marks. The bindings metal edges are very sharp to the touch and are not deburred (rounded, like the heelback metal edge is). I have photos if you would like to see... Got in touch with K2's warranty and was told they know about this issue, but don't consider this to be a valid warranty claim. UPDATE: they have also deleted my review on their website :)

I am hiking with Splitboards since more than two decades with Voile, Custom constructions, later the first Burton Interface, followed by Karakoram (which I still use on a MT Split), Spark (B Hitchhiker), SP (just for testing). All I can say is, that by the time, if conditions allow, I prefered to go up with Snowshoes, and put the Split aside, just because of the poor feeling when riding down with i.e. the Karakoram. Since a few weeks, I ride a Union Expedition, and can just confirm Travis words - and even his gesture, because that ist exactly, what it is about. The Expedition brought back the fun while riding down! This is first time, that I can say, I do not miss my regular board/binding system riding down. Fore sure, there are some details with potential to improve..

Love the interviews. Would love to see a deeper dive on the sustainability issues. I feel like there may be a little ‘green washing’ here and there in the industry. It’s certainly a powerful marketing tool right now. Would be nice to see an objective presentation of the facts from all the big players. Keep this rolling, I am looking forward to the Mervin interview 😉👍

Yes heel lock is very useful for ice traverses and longer ski down. You made best system so far, I'm sure you can do awesome one 🤙
